Some people have reported that the Mac FTP client has trouble with files bigger than 4GB. If you look at the monthly composites directory and the files there appear to be around 500-600MB rather than ~4.5GB, you are affected by this problem. If you attempt to download, you'll get ~500MB corrupt files. We suggest either downloading another FTP client (and will update this file with recommendations if we're told of them) or use the Mac command line, which appears not to be affected. To use the command line: - Open a terminal, type (or cut & paste): ftp ftp://oc-cci-data:ELaiWai8ae@ftp.rsg.pml.ac.uk/occci-v1.0/geographic/netcdf/monthly/all_products/ - You can then use standard FTP commands, like: "cd DIRECTORY" to change directory "ls" to list the contents of the current directory "get FILENAME" to download a specific file
